160 AMP AC/DC HF ARC start & Pulse Modulation TIG Welder

 

How complicated is this tool? Knobs and multi stage switches all over the place, this is a reel geek tool.

Welcome to the world of the Inverter AC / DC TIG. Once you study the front panel over a cup of coffee, you will notice it is not all that difficult to work out. You will see that each knob relates to a part of the square wave drawn on the panel.

From Left to Right

  * Pre flow gas time
  * Up slope time
  * Pulse width
  * Pulse cycle / frequency
  * Pulse depth ( Background current )
  * Down slope time
  * Post flow gas time
   
  The other switches allow you to select AC or straight DC or DC low frequency pulse or DC high frequency pulse. You can also choose stick or TIG modes and various combinations of trigger latching.
 

 

This machine has high frequency arc ingnition and supports the connection of a variable control foot switch.

I keep the TIG on top of the MIG. This way they can both share the shielding gas via a T Piece.
